Last night I met Sean McCabe and his wife Laci McCabe, it was like meeting long distance family. I've been part of the seanwes community since September 2014 and its been helpful to my growth and learning to focus on one thing at a time.
Before walking into the bar I felt anxious, then nervous, then excited. I went in and had a seat and waited, logging into seanwes talk community to see if anyone else was checking in. I was about a half hour early since I drove in from work but it was so great to finally put physical people together. We are more than internet friends!
This was the first time in a long time where there was no fluff in getting to know someone. A few people were already a part of the community, so it was nice to catch up and hear what they are working on and to see whats going on with everyone.
There were about ten people in total that came out, very intimate small group of people and I got to speak to just about everyone; Eric, Corey Scott, Corey Keller, Tommy Creenan, Diz, Pete, Grace, and Tony. A few people had business cards and stickers and Sean of course gave us a coaster!
I will be sure to get some goodies together for what ever my next meetup will be. It was nice to receive something as simple as a sticker. ( I used to have a huge sticker collection when I was a child. Then my younger sister took it to school.)
The best part was getting off line and getting to meet people face to face, hearing how they heard of seanwes, how long they've been following him and how what he is doing is inspiring their work. Overall, best meet up thus far and I look forward to more in the future!
I had to post a selfie otherwise it didn't happen ;)
