If you’ve read my story, you’ll know that design has always been a huge part of my life. Recently, I decided to take on the challenge of rebranding and redesigning my website.
There were a few things I really wanted to ensure I tackled:
Update the images on my site.
Finalize my visual branding colors
Have my overall brand reflect who I am in person - online.
There are a few people whos site has inspired me. Cat Coquillette, Lauren Hom and Christina Chahyadi to name a few.
Here are 3 things I learned while rebranding Donia Studio.
Make A Vison Board - Typically I make a Vision Board Each year of the goals I’d like to achieve. To rebrand Donia Studio it required me to gather images from Pinterest and see all my images together.
Know Who You Are and What You Offer - Donia Studio focuses on experiential design. We bring people together through collaborations, workshops and community. We believe in education and travel - this is all incorporated in the work we create and the services we provide.
Practice makes perfect - If you saw the old view of what my website looked like, it was a jumble of everything on one page. Clean design allows form and function to flow. Visitors should be able to understand who I work with and what I offer.
Lastly Here’s a Bonus Lesson Learned - Your brand should grow with you. Often times I hear people talk about how much of a perfectionist they are and it prevents them to launch. While I can relate to this, I’ve surrounded myself with accountability partners and involved myself in Masterminds that do not leave room for me to remain stagnant, or use perfectionism as an excuse.
With that I will catch you in the next one, but before you leave, what are some things you’ve learned about rebranding your business?
